May Mayhiem

The Month of May............................................................................................................................................

is crazy, however, I look forward to it every year.

It doesn't seem fair that I am so lucky to live near so many friends and family that we were able to spend time with.

It's birthday, mothers day, Foster's half birthday, more birthdays, and our anniversary.

And here it all went

Foster turned 18 mths on the 22nd. No we did not celebrate, except for visiting the Doc and getting a few shots. He did not so well this time around, he understood too much and didn't want anyone poking or prodding him. He was horrible. Yeah ya know one of those kids that you think "can't there mom shut them up", yep that was him. We tried suckers and bribery- didn't work. The Doctor was pleased with the growth of his head and the increase in weight, a little discouraged with his height (but hello have you seen his parents we aren't exactly rocking in that category either). He said he looked pretty solid and he very nicely put that we could cut back on the calories by giving him 1% instead of whole milk. So we have made the switch.

Foster loves to play baseball whether it is hitting or playing catch. Brennen is thrilled of course. He will bring Brennen his glove and then run to the other side of the room and put his glove on and play catch. He is just like our dog he does not get sick of it at all. He throws really well, he still has some serious work to do in the catching department. He has just took on to hitting the ball. He loves to have us pitch to him and even to just hit it off the tee. (also have a cute video but it won't load so just picture it in your head)

Foster loves Champ, still, does champ love him not so sure....... see the pic below. Every time Champ lays down to rest Foster takes it as his oppurtunity to ride him. He goes and gets on him, Champ is so patient with him and I love that he is such an amazing dog. But eventually he gets up Foster falls of Champ moves to a new spot on the lawn and Foster follows. It is pretty cute, and if I could get my dang videos to load you could watch but I can't.

Foster has had a few experiences with water so far as it is now warming up. He loves the sprinkler under the tramp, still not so sure about grandpas blow up slide, but loved the pool. I am soooo glad that he does, we will be seeing a lot of water this summer (hopefully).

He loves to be pushed in the stroller, push the stroller, ride a little battery operated spiderman 4-wheeler and watch the cars go by out the window or the front porch.

Not so much a fan of the nursery. He likes to be in there and play if one of us is there but if we leave, he screams, and the leaders already have there hands full so needless to say we have spent a lot of time the last 3 weeks in the nursery.

We took him to Hogle Zoo and a Bee's baseball game and he was a huge fan of both of them. I wish I could bottle up his excitement over all the animals and remember his faces because of course I never get them on camera. It was crowded, but so fun to just spend time with him and watch his curiosity grow. The bee's game was fun when we moved from our expensive seats to the the 3rd baseline where it was pretty open. He went up and down the stairs thousands of times and was entertaining everyone around us with his dancing skills. Even the bullpen for the other team was getting a kick out of him. One particular time in-between innings when they were playing music he got out in the aisle and was dancing like with extreme enthusiasm, when the music stopped some of the spectators started clapping. He smiled, took his hat off and waved it in the air. I am pretty sure his dads confidence was shining through at that moment.

He got to ride in the dump truck in the front seat, in his car seat of course but he was pretty stoked about it, he couldnt wipe the smirk off of his face

It is official I have lived 30 Years. It is so weird to think I am that old I still feel like I am 18 years old. Well unless I try to do a backhandspring or jump on the tramp, then I feel my age. I had a great day and my sisters know I don't love cake so they made memo favorite corn flake cookies in the shape of a 30.

The very next day, Bayli and Chanse celebrated there birthdays, along with memorial day. We had a family barbecue with Jill and the Hillyards, it was a really good time. Good food, good company and good times in the water and sun.

Then a few days later it was our anniversary, 6 years of BLISS--hehehehe, really it has been wonderful but not without a few challenges. I am so lucky to have these three boys in my life.

I had schemed and planned a anniversary getaway to SLC. But we had to postpone for a week because Brennen was sick, In his words the virus or bug that got him "totally wiped him out" Boys are so dramatic when it comes to being sick. So we spent the whole weekend at home but made up for it the week later, we adjusted our plans a bit and took Foster with us. But we had a great time. Good food, good times (zoo, swimming, and a bees game) and of course the best company there is around.

We had to put a mailbox in this month, we have just had the mailbox on our house, which I loved so I was not too happy about the letter that the post office sent giving us 30 days to put one up. But after much begging, Brennen put this together for me and it turned about better than I though it would. Definitily the cutest one on the block.

We decided to go on a quick hike one afternoon, we took the dogs and put Foster in the backpack. He wasn't a huge fan and he has pretty much out grown the thing so he ended up hiking. Needless to say he had the time of his life, and the distance or hike covered drastically decreased.

One windy afternoon, I came home to this, it is hard to see but Champs bed and blanket had blown over and covered his face, he was sleeping and of course woke up when we got home, but he couldn't figure out why he couldn't see. You had to be there to see how hilarious it really was.

Foster rode the horse one afternoon with the activity days girls, wasn't so sure at first but LOVED it. He wanted to keep going and going around the round pen.

He loves to be outside, he needs his haircut so bad, but most the time he will keep his hat on to cover it up.

These two pics are from April when Cortni was down with her kids for the funeral, I wanted to include them.
