My regular every couple of months blog update

Collins Annie Reese

6 mths visit
Collins is finally plumping up. Still spitting up a lot but improving. Loves to watch her brother, sits up, rolls all over, scoots on her belly, and jabbers a lot. She still sleeps the best in her car seat during the day and has decided to love sleeping on her belly at night. We started her on baby food, and she loves it but it hardened her poop right up again so we started her on prune juice a couple ounces a day and it has helped a bit. She still has blue eyes, has a big head and short body. She loves her mama- (who wouldn't) When she gets excited she sticks her arms and feet straight out and rolls her hand and feet.

I had my first real crisis this last week. I was dropping off some food at the cabin because Brennen's young men's group was backpacking and was going to end up there for dinner friday night. So I took both kids and both dogs and headed up there. I opened the first gate, drove to the second one and got out, shut the door so Rex would stay in and then undid the lock and opened the gate. As my hands were inches away from the door to climb back in and drive to the next gate, Rex stuck his paw up on door and pressed the lock button. The next three minutes I stood there in SHOCK. There I was locked out with my truck running thank good ness, both kids tired and hungry in the back seat, in the canyon with no cell service might I add. I tried to convince Rex to get his paw back up there and unlock it but he was all but interested and just slept on the front seat for the next hour as I tried to get in the truck. I tried and tried to get Foster to get out of his car seat (which he has done before when I have been driving down the road) but for the life of him couldn't do it when I needed it most. I was so frustrated and in tears and he just thought it was pretty comical until I left him to run to the cabin to get some tools. When I returned he and Collins were both screaming. I tried a hanger- no luck. So then I had to coax him to unlatch the window, which he finally did so I could get my arm in there- not far enough to do anything for me though. I ran back up to the cabin and got a golf club and a rake to try to get in into the front seat to press the unlock button- no such luck. So I went back up to the cabin and got some scissors and tree clippers, my initial idea was to try to get fosters seat belt cut off him. No such luck, I handed him the scissors but he was just going to cut into his tummy. So i cut the plastic latch on the window and was able to open in enough to get his seat belt off and he climbed up front and unlocked the door- an hour later. Needless to say I was flustered. And of course as I pulled up to the cabin the gas light came on in the truck. Thank goodness my dad is always prepared and had some up there. It was a rough day. So at 9 olock we finally all got dinner.

We had to get creative to get both kids in the bike stroller. Collins is still too small and needs her carseat. Twine it was- and yes Foster barely fit in there but it worked.

Foster didn't want to go down the slide by himself so we all went. Collins was a little nervous about the whole situation

We had a really rainy May and First part of June which was wonderful as now it is super hot. This was main street one night on my way from work, it was a river. It was awesome.
Foster was trying to pull the same face as Bayli in a pic she sent us, It was pretty spot on.
Foster wanted to put makeup on apparently. I was rather impressed as he did it with no mirror it was at least on him eye
 Bedtime

Health Days parade was rainy (which really isn't odd) but Foster loved it.

Collins loves to be outside- as long as she is not too hot.
Foster makes her into a ninja turtle quite often

Foster loves champ, and throwing the frisbee to him, and Champ finally likes it too because Foster can actually throw it pretty good.

The next four pictures was him getting mad and yelling at Champ. C-H-A-M-P!!

Pretty Princess and her not to shabby looking Daddy.
She likes his facial hair a lot better than I do.
Not too excited to be taking pics of her tummy.
Park time with our favorite people

Collins uses all four extremities to hold her bottle
We went to park city with some friends for a weekend, it rained the whole time, but Foster still wanted to swim. It was cold but it didn't bother him at all.

 This describes me perfectly.
Tucker played in a little 3 on 3 soccer tourney- we caught his third game and he was done. He sat down in the middle of the game and rested.
Bayli went to Senior Ball- so cute!!!

Rex and Champ enjoying the view from the front seat.

Brennen wrote a cute little poem for me for mothers day.

Foster loves to climb the fence and say hi to buddy and Jim.
We had a good crowd for the fireworks this year.
Whitli got us tickets to the Bee's game. But there was not bee's game, we sat there for an hour and waited for a rain storm to come, which it didn't come for another half hour but we were too bored so we left.

Most of the time Collins can be found in this position, tummy with her arm hanging over the edge.

 Fun at Grandma's
I tried to do a photo shoot. I took like 30 awesome pictures, came inside and realized there was no memory card in my camera. So we tried again but she wasn't near as photogenic. She is pretty darn cute though.

Not surprising that I caught the spit up on camera as it happens a lot.

Foster entertained himself one morning with some storage bins

Grandpa Kelly put a swing up for Collins to watch everyone go down the waterside

Bayli had cheer camp and we went to watch her perform.

When we finally made it to the cabin that night I was trying to warm up Collins food and so I asked Foster to get her a toy, he brought her this decorative log

Foster LOVES the zip line. Grandpa is pretty handy and so generous with his time and money

 Tub Time

 Blowing Kisses to Dad
 Sleeping on her tummy.

Well none of these turned out, getting 5 kids to looks at you at once is no easy task

The weather finally got good enough to put up the slide, and Foster LOVES it.

Summer is treating us pretty good!
