Defensive Player of the Year

This past weekend the Blue Sox held there annual banquet. Foster and I were acting as the support crew for Mom and Dad on Lotoja so we were unable to attend, so Brennen flew solo. I wasn't to worried about missing it, because he promised me that he wasn't getting an award because according to him he was sub par with his stats this year:) He was voted (by his teammates) Defensive MVP for the 2013 season, as this didn't really surprise me, I felt bad I missed it. However, it got me thinking that I should write about his season and post some pics since who knows if he will suit up again;) Plus since this is acting like a journal for us, generations to come will hopefully know how awesome he was and how good looking he was in that uniform.
In 10 years of playing for the Sox they have yet to spell his name right on anything. We having seen anything from Breenen, Breenan, Brennan, Brannen, all sorts of varieties;)

One of the main reasons Brennen is still playing baseball is because he gets to play with Brandt. There is just something special when those two take the field together. When they get introduced and run to their positions for the National Anthem they have a handshake. I though I was videoing it but as you can see above- I just got a picture.
Fielding Stats
Total Chances: 112
Putouts: 59
Assists:43
Double Plays: 8
Errors: 10
Fielding %: .911
Hence Defensive MVP
He's OUT!
My favorite part of this picture is the FLOSS sign in the background. I am pretty sure it was strategically placed there as Brennen really needs to work on that habit.
Yes, that is one of his Errors, you can see the ball in the dirt on the left, he was still quick enough to get the kid out at second just couldn't turn the double play.

Offensive Stats:
He may be mad that I add these this year because he claims he struggled but I beg to Differ.
Batting Ave: .381
On Base %: .469
At Bats:105
RBI's: 23
Runs: 34
Walks: 16
                             Strikeouts: 2  (My favorite Stat)
They didn't track the Stolen Bases, but Brennen currently holds the record for most stolen bases in Blue Sox history, as well as the single season record in 2009.

 The Spectators

I wish I would have taken a picture of the Jensen Clan, they always come support, Josh is Brennen's #1 FAN.

We had a blast this summer going to watch Brennen Play. He never ceases to AMAZE us with his skills. (He is 28, he he)
